Dame Sue Owen has been reappointed for another 3-year term as Non-Executive Chair of the UK Debt Management Office (DMO) Advisory Board. She’s been a big deal in the civil service, with over 30 years of experience, including serving as Permanent Secretary at the Department for Culture, Media & Sport. She was first appointed to this role in 2022 and will continue to support and challenge the DMO team. What do you all think of this? Seems like she’s going to be key in delivering government financing. Thoughts?
Wow, she’s got a lot of experience! Serving at multiple departments is no small feat. Do you think this will really help the UK’s debt management moving forward?

Yeah, definitely. Her background in both economics and government roles seems like a great fit for this position. It’ll be interesting to see how she impacts things in her second term.

I agree, her experience really shows she knows how to handle big tasks. And it’s pretty impressive that she’s still active with a bunch of other roles too.
Dame Sue’s track record speaks for itself. I’m glad to see someone with so much depth taking on such a crucial role. Definitely makes me feel more confident in the DMO’s direction.

For sure, I feel like this is a solid move. Having someone who understands the whole picture is so important, especially with all the financial challenges the UK faces right now.
I didn’t realize she’s also involved with a lot of companies and cultural institutions. Pretty cool, huh?

LOL, right? It’s almost like she’s everywhere. Definitely adds a lot of credibility to the DMO’s leadership.
I saw her mention the importance of supporting the DMO team. Seems like she’s really focused on keeping things stable and moving forward. Should make a big difference!

Yeah, keeping things steady is key, especially with how unpredictable things have been lately. Hope she really pushes for transparency too.
Noticed the mention of the Governance Code for Public Appointments. Makes me think the whole process for picking these roles is pretty thorough.

Yeah, it’s good to know they follow a strict process. Helps ensure the right people are in charge. Gotta trust the system!
