I went back to school at 42 in 2004, graduated in 2007, and had $40k in loans. As of this month, it’s all paid off! Feels amazing!
That’s awesome! Too bad loan forgiveness hasn’t worked out for a lot of people. Some in power seem more interested in making it harder for regular folks.

What’s your take on loan forgiveness? Should it be for everyone or just specific groups?
Congrats! That must feel so freeing. You should be super proud of yourself! I’m still paying down about $20k from my grad school days but I chip away when I can. Great job!
Amazing work! Congrats!
Does this mean it’s time to go for your master’s degree?
Do you feel like the degree was worth it? Not just financially but personally?

Honestly, it didn’t help my earnings since I never used the teaching degree I got. But I don’t regret it—education is something I value, and I love learning.
What did you study, and did it lead to a new career?

I was in marketing, went back to school for teaching, but never got a teaching job. Looking back, I’m glad I stayed in marketing—teaching is a tough field. About to retire now!
I’ve got $800 left to go!

You’re so close! Keep it up!
Good for you. If only more people took responsibility for their loans instead of complaining.
Wait… Crazy Joe didn’t swoop in and pay it off for you?
Great job paying it off. It shows character, unlike people waiting for others to handle their loans.
