You’re welcome. If your credit is decent, you shouldn’t have any issues. I went to my local Chase branch to get it sorted.

Thankfully, my credit score is actually really good.
Try applying for a balance transfer card with 0% interest or a personal loan with a lower rate to pay off your cards. Also, create a budget using a spreadsheet so you both can see where the money is going. Put your money together and work on this debt as a team.
Honestly, consider debt settlement. You’d pay back less than what you owe, though it’ll hurt your credit for a bit. But you can rebuild it over time.
You can handle this without bankruptcy. I’ve been in more debt with a similar income and managed to pay it off. Keep making your payments and maintain your credit score. Look into a 0% balance transfer card too.
Debt consolidation worked wonders for me.
Stop paying both cards and try settling one at a time. Creditors might agree to a lower amount after six months. You could negotiate for as little as 25% of the balance. Good luck with the marriage too—it sounds tough.
Hopefully interest rates drop soon. That would make things a bit easier.

You really think politicians care enough to lower costs for regular folks? They’re more focused on tax cuts for the rich.
@Kim
I mean… fingers crossed, I guess.

Politicians already said they won’t focus on lowering costs, so don’t hold your breath.
