Leaving the US soon, still have debt… what can I do?

Nope, no ties to the US. I’ll be working with my dad’s business back home. I’ll only visit the US occasionally to see family and friends.

Max out your cards and don’t look back! They’re not going to chase you at the airport.

Keep paying it off, even after you leave. Anything else is just wrong, and others will end up paying for it if you don’t.

Not paying back banks is wrong? Are you aware of the choices banks make?

Corporations don’t absorb losses, they pass them on to everyone else. Every time someone skips out on debt, costs go up for the rest of us.

I agree. If you borrow money, you should pay it back. That’s just basic decency.

Congrats on making rich banks a little richer. If you’re so moral, why not donate that money to charity instead of paying greedy corporations?

Corporations don’t just absorb losses. When people don’t pay, everyone else covers the cost.

Corporations raise prices because they can, not because people skip out on debt. If we’re going to be scared of them, we should stand up to them instead.

If you want to insult people, you’re doing a great job. If you want to convince them, you’re not. Calm down and have a good weekend.

Not paying back billionaire banks is immoral? Really? How are you licking their boots this hard?

When people don’t pay their debts, the cost gets passed on to everyone else. Open your eyes.

Some debt comes from small businesses or individual investors. If you borrow money, it’s only right to pay it back.

I wasn’t talking about small lenders, just big corporations. OP was talking about Amex, not some local guy.

Got it, just the big corporations. Personally, I think you should pay off any debt, but I get where you’re coming from.
