Need Help with Credit Card Debt

Hey everyone, I never thought I’d find myself in credit card debt, but here I am. :frowning:

I’m 27 and currently have a balance of $3,332.73 on my Chase Freedom Flex card. I wasn’t aware that my promotional no-APR period (15 months) ended this month! I haven’t used this card in a while and have only made small payments (around $200).

I called Chase, and they told me that around September 5th, I’ll start seeing interest accumulation on my account at a rate of 29%, which could be more than $800! I’m freaking out because I’ve always been good at staying out of debt, but I should’ve been more cautious.

The best solution I’ve found so far is to do a balance transfer of the $3k to a Citi Double Cash card, which offers no APR on balance transfers for 18 months. I found this card and others like it on Expedia. Does anyone have any other advice or suggestions? Thanks!

This approach involves tackling your smallest debts first, no matter the interest rates. It’s designed to help you build momentum and stay motivated.
