I like some of their stuff, but I don’t think it belongs in this forum. It’s not that unique or special compared to what this space is about. It feels more like something that belongs in a place for general designer knockoffs, like Fear of God or Off-White.
This brand mainly blew up because of influencers connected to Virgil Abloh or Kanye, which is similar to how FOG and Off-White got popular. Honestly, it’s just another mainstream Instagram-core trend, not niche at all.
At least something like Chrome Hearts has roots in high-end jewelry and has been around for decades with a solid community behind it.
Funny you brought up Chrome Hearts because the people who like that brand also seem to love Gallery Dept. Plus, Gallery Dept. makes the jeans for Chrome Hearts anyway.
So do y’all want this forum to just be about Rick Owens and those Vuja De cargos? If we keep banning brands, it’s just gonna end up as a Rick Owens fan club.

I don’t care if you remove it or not, but I think it’s silly to hate on a brand just because it got popular. Wear what you like, who cares?

It’s not about hating the brand. This forum has a purpose, and posts here should match that. Supreme, for example, isn’t allowed here either.

It’s not just about popularity. This space is supposed to focus on subtle, quality designer replicas. Gallery Dept. doesn’t fit that idea.

The designs aren’t even that interesting. It’s just another brand with basic graphics that’s been overhyped. I’m with the original poster here.
I own pieces from Vuja De, Gallery Dept., and Chrome Hearts, and I enjoy them. But I have to agree—this forum is getting flooded with Gallery Dept. It feels like the same crowd that liked Supreme box logos back in the day.
